Ashley Woodward Holmes, BSN, RN, MBA-HCA, CCTC
Ashley Wooten Holmes, MBA-HCA, BSN, RN, CCTC, is a Nurse Consultant with Dempsey Kingsland Osteen. She has over 20 years of nursing experience, including emergency care, thoracic surgery, transplant medicine, and nursing management.

Before becoming a registered nurse, Nurse Holmes worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, memory care, and a long-term acute care hospital. She is a Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator through the American Board for Transplant Certification and has progressive leadership experience in both clinical and administrative settings.

Nurse Holmes has served as a manager across multiple internal medicine specialties, including Rheumatology, General Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Allergy/Immunology. She is also a member of the International Transplant Nurses Society, Heart of America Chapter. During her nursing career, she has received two DAISY Awards.

Nurse Holmes assists the firm in evaluating and analyzing complex medical issues in cases involving medical malpractice and catastrophic injury. She reviews and interprets medical records, identifies key clinical events, and helps the firm understand standards of care and causation issues across a variety of specialties.

She is a subject matter expert in thoracic surgery, critical care, and transplant cases.

Nurse Holmes is available to consult with the firm from the initial case review through settlement or trial. She supports attorneys with case review, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial analysis by reviewing medical records, identifying key clinical issues, and assisting in the development of case strategies.

In addition to her consulting work, Nurse Holmes has been involved in patient safety, quality improvement, and care coordination initiatives in specialized healthcare settings. Her broad clinical and administrative background provides valuable insight into both bedside care and the healthcare systems in which it is delivered.

Nurse Holmes earned a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from Baker University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas. She is a member of the Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Her training and experience enable her to provide clear, practical insight into complex medical records and healthcare delivery.
