Dawn Cook – Paralegal

Dawn received an Associate Degree in Paralegal Technology and Paralegal Certificate from Penn Valley Community College in 1996. She went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration graduating in 2000 from Park University. She worked for Shughart, Thomson & Kilroy, Lance Welch and Totta & Parrish before joining Dempsey Kingsland Osteen in 2001.

Kerry Hopkins – Paralegal

Kerry Hopkins joined Dempsey Kingsland Osteen in October 2011 as Bob Kingsland’s legal assistant. She was promoted to paralegal in January 2014. She has extensive experience in both medical negligence and general personal injury cases.

Kerry received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Park University, graduating summa cum laude in December 2009. Prior to joining DKO, Kerry worked in customer service and banking.

Born and raised north of the river, Kerry lives just outside Liberty, Missouri with her husband, daughter and many pets.

Kristina Paré – Legal Assistant

Kris joined Dempsey Kingsland Osteen as a legal assistant in 1996. She is married with two children. Prior to her employment with Dempsey Kingsland Osteen, she worked for Kaiser Permanente. She has a degree in Health Information Management, which focuses on health care data including studies involving the legal aspects of health information management. She completed her clinicals at Excelsior Springs Medical Center and Truman Medical Center.

Alicia Alcorn – Legal Assistant

Alicia joined Dempsey Kingsland Osteen in November 2017. She attended the University of Kansas and majored in Geology. Previously she was a church administrator. She is married with two daughters who keep her busy, and a Corgi named Holly that her daughters show in conformation, obedience and rally.

Kimm White – Legal Assistant

Kimm joined Dempsey Kingsland Osteen in June 2021.  She attended Kansas State University. Previously, she was a church administrator and a Stay-at-home mom.  She is married with four active teenagers, three boys and a girl.
